Whitney Houston Overcoming Drugs & Divorce Makes Comeback
It may be a bit premature to say that Whitney Houston's drug problem is behind her, but recent reports have stated that the singer is teaming up with R&B star Akon and mentor Clive Davis in order to rejuvenate her career. Akon and Houston plan on developing some up-tempo songs with the idea of getting Whitney back on the charts.

Houston married singer Bobby Brown in 1992 and after a stormy marriage played out in the tabloids, has filed for divorce as of October 2006. Financial troubles ensue as Houston's $1.4 million Atlanta mansion was seized and sold off.
Several media sources are also reporting that Houston's 10-acre New Jersey home is also in line for foreclosure in the coming months. Whitney Houston has a long history of drug and alcohol abuse throughout the late 1980s to present.

In a 2002 interview with Diane Sawyer, Houston admitted to using cocaine, alcohol, marijuana and various pills. Houston's sister-in-law Tina Brown took a famous photograph of Whitney and Bobby Brown's Atlanta bathroom with drug paraphernalia strewn about.
Whitney Houston entered undisclosed drug rehab centers in March 2004 and again in 2005 for addiction to crack cocaine. Houston is now also in talks to appear in Celebrity Big Brother joining other controversial stars in the house in January.
