Keith Urban Rehab Continues

For Keith Urban, rehab continues despite published reports in Us online magazine of his release. Country singer Urban, who married actress Nicole Kidman last June, checked into rehab for alcohol abuse in October.

The premature report of Keith Urban's release from rehab was due to the country singer being spotted having lunch with Kidman at the Beverly Hills Hotel's Polo Lounge on December 3. According to Urban's publicist, patients at the Betty Ford Clinic in Palm Springs, California, where Urban is residing, are allowed short visits during this stage of recovery.

Urban has a long history of battling addictions to both alcohol and drugs. In the 1990's Urban was struggling with an addiction to cocaine and in 1998, he checked himself into the Cumberland Heights rehab clinic in Nashville, Tennessee.

Urban's newest album, Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing was released on November 7, just weeks after the country singer had entered rehab. Though he is unable to market and promote his album while in rehab, Keith Urban's last album, Be There has sold four million copies and many expect his latest release to produce similar figures.
