Beautiful Boy Addiction Book Offered by Starbucks?
Yes, it’s true. The place promoting caffeine addiction to millions of coffee hounds is promoting a book about meth addiction. Starbucks has decided to put on its shelves next year Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey through His Son’s Addiction.
The memoir was written by David Sheff and is a compelling true story written about the relationship of the author with his son who was addicted to methamphetamines and the struggle for recovery. Sheff has written three other books about technology and celebrities, so Beautiful Boy is a personal departure for him.
Sheff’s memoir comes from a different viewpoint that many other personal books about drug addiction in that it comes from the perspective of a parent struggling with feelings of powerlessness and helplessness over a child’s addiction.
